Where Does FFN Come From?
We began our mission in 2019 when a local market manager approached us. They needed a better way to connect their local consumers with local farmers and artisans. Together, we designed a market management system for online storefronts. That system caters specifically to local farm markets and co-ops.

The Journey We Took with Our First Client
Five years ago a market owner came to us frustrated with the usual online platforms. Nothing available was built for farmers’ and artisan markets—most were either too generic or too time-consuming to run.
Working with her, we built a marketplace that was intuitive for customers, manageable for the operator, and usable for vendors. When the pandemic hit and home delivery became essential, we added it in a week. Sales kept growing while the market reached customers who had no other reliable option.
From working alongside our first market in their warehouse, at their roadside pickups, and during the deliveries in the COVID era, we were there as our first client market grew.
In those early days, next to a broken-in set of boots and a worn-out pair of gloves, you’d have found a dirty keyboard. Farm Fresh Network was born in the hours that followed long days of learning the work local markets do every week.

We’ve supported artisan shops for nearly a decade, ensuring their online venues are state of the art, customer friendly, and bring a professional tone.

We’re not building generic websites for local markets. We live the same constraints our clients face.
Our founder and CEO, who is also the platform designer, is married to a working artisan soap maker. For the last decade his work created a market system that lets independent producers compete without being forced onto oversized platforms. Running his own produce garden at the same time has kept the seasonal and operational realities of market work visible every week.
That experience shapes our work. The goal is not another online marketplace. It is a system that reduces friction for operators and vendors so the physical market remains sustainable.

Farm Fresh Network is the online market management expert because the system was built inside the actual work of running local markets, not adapted from a generic ecommerce platform afterward.
Most tools start as broad multi-vendor or online store software and then get positioned toward farmers’ markets and co-ops. FFN started with the operating realities of real markets—limited staff, perishable inventory, physical pickup days, vendor coordination, and the need to keep the physical location primary—and the hosted online storefront was shaped around those constraints from the beginning.
That origin is the difference. Our expertise is not a claim about features. It is the result of building and refining the system while standing in the same operational pressure our clients face.
